  1. Thank you Richard. It’s looking like those lights are discontinued also. Where did that mount come from?

I agree Shawn. That’s not a good location. Mine already burned out once before, since I’ve had it. My light has 3 LED bulbs in it. It quit working so I popped the bad bulb off and put a solder shunt on it and got it working on 2 of them but it’s gone out again.

Where do you get those temp strips you have on your modules. I haven’t found any horizontal in that temp range

  2. I think your right. It was getting harder to start for a while before it quit.  I read one of your other posts where you recommended the Odyssey so I went ahead and bought one. Looks like it’s about 3 lbs heavier than my cheap battery. I need to install it.

The old Trail-tek landing light I have crapped out too. They don’t make it anymore. Do you recommend any particular replacement?

  3. Hey Shawn. Happy Thanksgiving. Mine just became a great one! I’m at the hangar. Just installed the new ignition module. That fixed it. This thing has never cranked like that since I’ve had it. It didn’t even get a full rotation on the prop and busted off on a cold start. Running great and cranking great. I’m gonna try to figure out what these 2 breakers control. One seems to be one of the G5s. Not sure about the other yet. I really appreciate all your help. Have a nice Thanksgiving.

  4. Hey Shawn. Thank you very much for all your help. While I’m waiting on my modules, I’ve got another question for you. When I first got my plane the strobe light quit. I have fixed it. It was a problem in the Triple magnum box. While I was checking voltage I saw that the autopilot switch has no wires on the bottom. The autopilot works, with the switch in either position. I’m wondering if that might have gotten changed when the G5s were installed? And if it should be ok like that. I’m attaching a pic of the back of the switch. It’s the one on the left with only the 2 white stripe wires on top. Again, I really appreciate your helpD971D191-D165-4391-974F-82EB6A61E37F.thumb.jpeg.3ab45ec26a725c9d51d8eb6e11cd8a01.jpeg

  5. Thank you for your help Shawn. From the stuff I have read, it says the yellow stripe indicates they are soft start. They have 6 pin connectors. If needed, are the new ones gonna be plug and play or will they need some kind of mods? Also everyone seems to say that the heat and cold “jumps” them to life, if they are going bad. Seems crazy to me but I keep reading that. Do they go bad where the heat and cold don’t do the kickoff for them?

     Thanks
