As I announced my exit from the runway, I was alerted to low voltage. I ordered a new Ducati voltage rectifier from Certus. It would be my 5th replacement since new.

maybe catch a good deal.
Welcome, Scott. Flying and instructing in a SportCruiser is just so much more fun than flying a Cessna. What would you consider a "good deal"?

Hi Agis, welcome to the forum. Where are you located?

Aircraft previously issued an SLSA airworthiness certificate under 14 CFR § 21.190 that are now operating as an ELSA under 14 CFR § 21.191(i)(3).
o These aircraft have previously been flight tested and are not required to have additional flight testing unless they have been altered from their original configuration.
o For a major change to the aircraft (such as an alteration, modification, addition, or deletion), the FAA may modify the ELSA operating limitations with special restrictions for flight testing due to the aircraft modification.
o These aircraft cannot be used for flight instruction for compensation or hire or for towing for compensation or hire.

No I do not have a Sport Cruiser... I wanted one for years..
Why did you decide to settle for a Bristell?

Hi Dave,
I believe the GDL82 would be a great low-cost solution for your aircraft. Please refer to the below link for more information. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks.

The full benefits of ADS-B can only be realized if all of the planes that fly in controlled airspace are equipped. The FAA has set January 1, 2020, as the deadline to equip for ADS-B Out in controlled airspace. DOT and the FAA offered a $500 rebate incentive for GA aircraft owners who equip their aircraft with required avionics technology. Accelerating compliance is critical to ensuring that pilots, manufacturers, and retail facilities have adequate time and capacity to equip aircraft in a timely and efficient manner, ahead of a 2020 regulatory deadline.

Still no plan for equipping legacy aircraft with this mandatory update. Tic Toc

Go for it DavePilot. I'm sure you can explain this better than I.

For xcountry I use 5350 - 5450, TAS ~ 118 with burn at < 6.0 gal/hr.
When bouncing in the local area for fun I set fuel flow at 5 gal/hr and use whatever she gives me.

Welcome Tom, I hope to meet you at the Sebring Sport Aviation Expo in a few weeks.

Just curious, is there any restriction on the ROTAX engine flying in IFR conditions? "The 912ULS and its certified sibling, the 912S, are built on the same Austrian factory floor, by the same technicians, to the same standards and specifications, out of the same parts bins. The main differences are the data plate (red vs. black), and of course the price."

Thanks I'll look into it. I've wrapped some "no slip" tape around the step to reduce the possibility of slipping.
-
My student had a hard time finding the step when exiting the aircraft. Another student slipped on the step and planted his knee in my flap.
What IMPROVEMENTS would you like to see in the CRUZ aircraft ?

I may have mentioned it here but didn't change it out. I was hoping a LOA would allow me to upgrade. I'm averaging just under 200 hours per unit. I agree with the heat/cooling issue.
